       Witness                                      Be it Remembered that on the Sixteenth day of February
                   Josiah Gordon                in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred &
                      Lancelot Wilson J.r      Sixty five before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices
       of the Peace for Prince Georges County Personally Appeared the within named Orlando
       Smith Party to the within Instrument of Writing and Acknowledged the same to be his Act
       and Deed and the Lands and Negroes therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate
       of the within David Ross his Heirs and Assigns forever According to the True intent and
       meaning of the said Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided

       1765   February 28.th   Received of Doctor David Ross Seventeen Shillings and eleven
       Pence half Penny Sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation fine
       on the within four hundred and forty nine Acres of Land by virtue of a Commission
       from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General

Ex.d This Indenture made the twenty third day of February in the Year of our Lord One
       Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty five Between Reginald Grahame of Vienna in Dorchester
       County Merchant of the one Part Daniel Wolstenholme James Forbes and George
       Stephen West of Maryland Merchants of the other Part Witnesseth Whereas the said
       Reginald Grahame is largely indebted unto the above named Daniel Wolstenholme James
       Forbes and Stephen West as also to Several other Persons in Virginia and Maryland
       & as is willing and Desirous to give up and Deliver all his whole Estate Effects Goods Book Debts
       and every other thing that he is entituled to in order to Pay and Satisfy all hs Credittors as
       far as the same will go in Proportion to their Several Debts and for that Purpose to make
       over Convey and Deliver unto the said Daniel Wolstenholme James Forbes and Stephen
       West in Trust for the Benefit of themselves and all other the Credittors willing to come unto
       an Agreement and Composition all his said Effects and Estate of every kind he the
       said Original Grahame for the reasons aforesaid and for Diverse other Goods Causes and
       Considerations him thereunto moving and also for and in Consideration of the ^securing^ of the Payment
       of the said several Sums of Money due to his said Credittors and of five Shillings of Good
       and Lawfull Money to him in hand Paid by the said Daniel Wolstenholme James Forbes
       and Stephen West the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged he the said Reginald Grahame
       hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Remised Released & Confirmed   And by these
       Presents doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Remise Release and Confirm unto the said Daniel
       Wolstenholme James Forbes and Stephen West for the uses and Purposes aforesaid
