512 made and Provided Cha.s Jones, Andrew Heugh 1765 Feby 28.th Received of Doctor David Ross Twenty one Shillings and two Pence half Penny Sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation fine on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 1.st day of March 1765 12 Ex.d This Indenture made this Sixteenth day of February in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and Sixty five Between Orlando Smith of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland of the one Part and David Ross of the said County and Province of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Orlando Smith for and in Consideration of the said David Ross becoming Bail for his Appearance at next March Court in Prince Georges County at the Suit of John Glassford and C.o for Dealings at their Store in Bladensburgh under the Direction of Richard Henderson and also to Satisfy and Pay a Debt due to the said Ross from the said Orlando Smith of fourteen Pounds fourteen Shillings and eleven Pence Maryland Currency and also to pay a debt due to Charles Carroll Esq.r of Annapolis as Per the said Orlando Smith Bond dated the 15.th of December 1758 for fifty Pounds Sterling lodged in the Hands of the said David Ross with Interest from that time as also a Debt due from ^to^ John Steuart and Campbell of London Merchants as will Appear by their Account Current as also a Debt due to Jasper Weste on execution of Four Pounds five Shillings and eight Pence Maryland Currency and two hundred and one be and ^a^ half pounds of Tobacco and further in the Consideration of the sum of Five Shillings to him the said Orlando Smith in hand Paid by the said David Ross the Receipt whereof he the said Orlando Smith doth hereby Acknowledge hath Given Granted Bargained and Sold Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these Presents he the said Orlando Smith for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Release and Confirm unto the said David Ross his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Part of a Tract of Land called Addition to Bacon Hall which the said Orlando Smith bought of Thomas Chittam Containing One hundred Acres more or less and for which he the said Orlando Smith has Thomas Chittams Bond to Convey the same to him the said Orlando Smith and also all that Tract or Parcell of Land called Hickory Hills Patented to Jonathan Waddum Containing Two hundred and eighty nine Acres more or Less As also another Tract or Parcell of Land Called Smiths Neglect Patented to Benjamin Beall Containing Sixty acres more or Less lying and being in Prince Georges County with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging Also the ^following^ four Acres Negroes Viz.t a Negroe Woman named Nimby and her Increase a Negroe Girl named Sall with her Increase a Negroe Boy named Will and a Negroe Boy named Jack these three being the Children of the said Negro Woman named Nimby To have and to hold the aforesaid Tracts of Land with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging and also the aforesaid Negroes Nimby Sall Will and Jack (with) |
