49. January Twenty first Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and forty &c I therefore Certify as deputy surveyor of Prince Georges County under his Excellency Samuel Ogle Esq.r Governor of Maryland I have Carefully laid out for and in the Name of him the said Michael Taylor all that Tract of Land lying in the said County called Called Taylors Burgh beginning at a Bounded White Oak standing on the North side of the Eastern Branch of Patuxent River about sixty five perches below the Fork of the said Branch the said Tree being also the beginning Tree of a parcell of Land Called Chance formerly surveyed for M.r Joseph Chew and running thence North twelve degrees East Twenty Perches then North six Degrees East forty perches then South sixty three and a half degrees East Twenty Eight perches then South Fifty Eight perches then West South West Fourteen Perches then South Forty degrees East fifty perches then South so East one hundred and Fifteen perches then West South West Twenty seven Perches then by a Straight line to the Beginning Tree containing and now laid out for thirty Eight Acres of Land to be held by Calverton Mannor surveyed this Fifteenth day of July Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Forty one Peter Dent deputy Surveyor of Prince Georges County And on the Back of the said Certificate the following Words are Indorsed Prince Georges County One thousand seven hundred and forty one The plat and Certificate of Taylors burgh Thirty Eight Acres for the person And Whereas the sid Michael Taylor on or about the sixth day of October One Thousand Seven hundred and forty one being in Possession of the Said Land and by Virtue of the said Certificate did expose the said Land to sale all or the most part of the following persons being present as by a List which was then taken now in the Custody of the said Lucy Watson Viz.t M.r John Carroll M.r William Cumming M.r Francis Finn M.r Turner Wootten M.r Thomas Chittam M.rs Mary Ogden M.r George Atwood M.r John Needham M.r John Coffee M.r Will.m Beall Cap.t James Edmonston M.r John Hoops M.r Robert Gordon M.r George Frazier M.r Thomas Dawson M.rs Lucy Watson M.r Joseph Bell M.r Brogden M.rs Mathews M.r Samuel Thomas M.r James Smith M.r James Holmeard Doct.r Andrew Scott M.r Edward Cole Jun.r Mess.rs Ignatius and Nicholas Digges M.r Thomas Clark M.r Thomas Brooke Jun.r M.r Thomas Lee M.rs Sarah Warring M.rs Elizabeth Scott M.r David Crawfurd Doct.r John Sprigg M.r George Parker M.r Joseph Bell Junior Mayor Edward Sprigg M.r Osbourn Sprigg M.r Basil Warring M.r Um Digges & Charles Digges Esq.r and at that Time the said Lucy Watson purchased & paid for the said Land and in Consequence thereof the said Michael Taylor did Assign the Certificate on the Back thereof in the following Words Viz I |
