       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t

       Be it Remembered that on the eighth day of May in the Year of our Lord
       Christ Seventeen hundred and Sixty four came the within named George Stockly
       before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court of the
       Province of Maryland and Acknowledged the within Indenture or Deed of
       Mortgage to be the Right and Estate of the within Rector Governours Trustees and
       Visitors and their Successors forever According to the true intent and meaning
       of the said Indenture or Deed of Mortgage and the Act of Assembly in such
       Case made and Provided

       Recorded the 9.th of May 1764


              This Indenture made the twenty seventh day of August in the Year of our Lord
       One thousand seven hundred and Sixty four Between Archibald Edmondson of Frederick
       County Planter of the one Part and Alexander Cumming of the City of Annapolis
       Mariner of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Archibald Edmondson for and in
       Consideration of the sum of five shillings Current Money to him in hand Paid at or
       before the Sealing and Delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged
       he the said Archibald Edmondson hath Given Granted Bargained and sold Aliened
       and Confirmed and by these Presents doth Give Grant Bargain and Sell Alien and
       Confirm unto the said Alexander Cumming his Heirs and Assigns forever all
       that any Moiety of half Part of a Tract of Land called Prestons Marsh which
       said Tract of Land was heretofore taken up and Granted them William Cumming
       and James Edmonston Both deceased and which Is now held by undivided
       Moietys Between my Brother Ninian Edmonson and myself
       Scituate lying and being in Frederick County with the Appurtenances to
       the same Moiety or half Part Belonging or in anywise Appurtaining
       and Also the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders rents
       and Services of the said Moiety or half Part and every Part thereof and
       all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim and Demand Whatsoever
