437 the South West side of Shipwright Street Distinguished in the Plott of the said City by the Lott Number Seventeen Begining for the said Part of the said Lott at a Locust Post of a Lott formerly belonging to Thomas Bladen Esq and now in the Possession and the Property of Doct.r Upton Scott standing in the line of the aforesaid Street the said Post being the Original begining of the whole of the said Lott Number Seventeen and running with the first line of the said Lott with the line of the said Street South east forty feet then running with a line drawn at right Angle with the line of the said Street and Lott South Westerly for the length of forty feet thence running North West Parrallel to the line of the Street aforesaid for the length of forty feet to the Lott aforementioned formerly belonging to Thomas Bladen Esq (now Doct.r Upton Scotts) thence with the said Lott to the begining Locust Post abovementioned Containing and laid out for Sixteen hundred Square feet of Ground be the same more or less; and every Part or Parcell thereof with the Appurtenances unto the said Right Honourable Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore his Heirs and Assigns forever to the only Proper Use and behooff of him the said Right Honourable Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore his Heirs and Assigns In Witness whereof the said Charles Carroll hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and Year above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Mary Darnall Cha Carroll L S John Reresby On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t 1764 Oct.o 12.th Then received of Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and A^va^lon Lord Baron of Baltimore the sum of eight Pounds ten shillings and eight Pence sterling Money being the Consideration Money therein mentioned Witness Cha.s Carroll Mary Darnall John Reresby |
