351 On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t February 16.th 1764 Received of the within Bazil Dorsey the Sum of One £ hundred and forty Pounds Current Money being the Consideration within 140 mentioned Sam.l Beall Jun.r Witnesses late Sheriff of Frederick Jn.o Brice County Joseph Ensor 16 Feb.ry 1764 Came Samuel Beall before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein Specified to be the Estate of him the said Basil Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns According to the True intent and meaning thereof Jn.o Brice Recorded 14.th June 1764 13 s.d This Indenture made this Thirteenth day of June Anno Domini One Thousand seven hundred & Sixty four Between Henry Griffith of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Merchant of the one Part and Greenberry Griffith of the County and Province aforesaid Planter of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Henry Griffith for and in Consideration of the sum of five Pounds Sterling Money to him in Hand Paid the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and himself to be fully Contended and Paid Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened enfeoffed and Confirmed And by these Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain sell enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Greenberry Griffith his Heirs or Assigns forever all (that) |
