       According to the true intent and Meaning of the same Deed and According to the Act of Assembly
       for such Cases made and Provided on the same day ^also^ Personally Appeared before us Dorothy
       Wife to the aforesaid Ninian Edmonston who being Privately examined by us apart
       from and out of the hearing of her said Husband Declared that She Voluntarily and
       of her own free will and without being induced thereto by fear or threats if her said Husband
       or fear of his Displeasure released her Right of Dower in and to the within
       Mentioned Lands and Premisses and Acknowledged the same to be the Right and
       Estate of the within named Richard Henderson his Heirs and Assigns According to
       the True intent and meaning of the within Deed and According to the Act of Assembly
       for such Cases made and Provided
                                  Taken and Acknowledged the day and Year above Written before us
                                  (his Heirs and Assigns) having been first Interlined

       1764 May 25.th Received of M.r Richard Henderson eight shillings and nine Pence
       one half Penny Sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on
       the within two Hundred and nineteen Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission
       from Edward Lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent and receiver General

Ex.d       This Indenture made this thirty first day of May in the Year of our Lord
       One Thousand seven hundred and Sixty four Between Frederick Tryer of Frederick     
       County in the Province of Maryland Farmer of the one Part and
       Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis in the Province aforesaid Barrister on
       the Part Witnesseth that the said Frederick Tryor for and in Consideration
       of the sum of eighty two Pounds three Shillings Current Money of the Province
                                                                                                          (aforesaid)
