       herein before Contained to the Contrary ^thereof^ Notwithstanding And the said Valentine
       Shrioner for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant
       Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Conrod Merkill his Executors Administrators
       and Assigns that he the said Valentine Shroyner will well and truly
       Pay to him the said Conrod Merkell his Executors Adm.rs or Assigns the af.d sum
       of One hundred Pounds in Dollars at Seven shillings and Six Pence each Dollar
       with legal Interest on the same at or before the Fifteenth day of My in the Year
       of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and Sixty six According to
       the Condition or Proviso aforesaid In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents
       have hereunto Interchangeably set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the day
       and Year first above Written

       Presence of
                      Reverdy Ghiselin
                      Elie Vallette         On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t

       May the 15.th 1764 Reced of Conrod Merkell One hundred Pounds Current
       Money being the Consideration within Mentioned to be by him Paid to Me
       Witness
                   Reverdy Ghiselin                     I say Received by
                      Elie Vallette                                                         Valentine Shroiner

                                           On the 15.th day of May 1764 Came before me one of the Justices
       of the Provincial Court the within named Valentine Shroyner and Acknowledged
       the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the
       within Lands and Premisses therein Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of
       the within named Conrod Merkell his Heirs and Assigns According to the
       True intent and Meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly
       in such Case made and Provided               Before
