312) the aforesaid sum of Five hundred and forty five Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain with legal Interest therein by Good Bills of Exchange Drawn on some Responsible Merchant in London drawn at thirty days sight together with the Charge of Drawing and Recording this Indenture or Deed of Mortgage at or upon the aforesaid tenth day of April which shall be in the Year of our Lord Christ and Satisfy In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto set their Hands and Affixed their Seals the day and Year first above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered Benj.a Welsh Seal in the Presence of Ann Denton William Cooke On the back of the above Deed was thus Written Viz.t April 23.d 1764 Then Received of and from the within named John Brice the within mentioned sum of five hundred and forty five Pounds Sterling Money of Great Brittain being in full for the Consideration ^Money^ within mentioned Witness Benj.a Welsh Anne Denton William Cooke Be it Remembered that on the 23.d day of April Anno Domini Seventeen hundred Sixty and four the above and within named Benjamin Welsh Personally Appeared before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland and Acknowledged the within Indenture ^or^ of Deed of Mortgage to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Negroes within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Brice his Heirs and Assigns According to the True intent and meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in such Case made and Provided 14 1/2.d before Geo Steuart Recorded the 27.th of April 1764 |
