264. On the 19 of March 1764 Came M.r Edw.d Dorsey Sen.r before us two of Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County and Acknowledged the within Deed and the Land therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Edw.d Dorsey Jun.r his Heirs and Assigns forever and According to the Act of Assembly in that Case made Provided and the same day came Sarah Dorsey the Wife of the aforesaid Edward Dorsey and being Privately examined according to the Law Acknowledged her Right of Dower to the within mentioned Land to be Right and Estate of the within named Edw.d Dorsey Jun.r his Heirs and Assigns forever without any fears or threats from her Husband Ephoward John Burgess Jun.r 1764 April 10.th Received of M.r Edward Dorsey Jun.r Two shillings sterling for the Use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within Fifty Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 10.th day of April 1764 5 s.d Ex.d Maryland fs.t To all People to whom these Presents shall come Know Ye that Edward Dorsey of Baltimore County for and In Consideration of the full and Just sum of Fifteen Pound Current Money to me in hand Paid by John Whips of Ann Arandall County the Recept whereof I Doe hereby Acknowledge and doe by these Presents Give Grant Sell and Confirm unto the said John Whips his Heirs and Assigns forever All that Tract or Parcell of Land lying in Baltimore County on the South side of Poyney Falls Called and None by the name of Still Work Containing Twenty Acres of Land Warrenting the said Land and all the Impertaces thereunto Belonging unto the said John Whips his Heirs and Assigns forever from all Persons or Persons whatsoever |
