       Carroll is more than sufficient to secure the Payment of the aforesaid sum
       of two Thousand eight hundred Pounds Sterling to the aforesaid Daniel and Mary
       the Issue of the said Marriage as aforesaid in Case they should live to receive
       the same and the said Daniel Carroll being Indebted to divers Persons and
       being desirous of securing ^as well^ the Moneys aforesaid to and for the Children of his
       said Marriage as also of Paying and Satisfying his Creditors without the
       expence of a Chancery Suite hath Applyed to the said Charles Carroll Esq for his
       Premission as Trustee to sell and dispose of some part of the Lands and Premisses
       in the same Articles Contained for the Purpose of Paying his Debts as
       aforesaid and the said Charles Carroll being Satisfied of the truth of the facts
       above mentioned hath Agreed thereto and hath also Agreed to take the Lands
       Tenements and Hereditaments hereafter mentioned and described as Security
       for the Payment of the aforesaid sum of Two thousand eight hundred Pounds
       Sterling Relinquishing all Right ^and^ Title to any other Lands and Tenements
       in the aforesaid Articles contained to the said Daniel Carroll his Heirs and
       Assigns Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Daniel Carroll for
       Securing the Payment of the aforesaid sum of two Thousand eight hundred
       Pounds Sterling Agreeable to the true intent and meaning of the Articles of Agreement
       aforesaid as also for and in Consideration of the sum of ten shillings
       Sterling To him in hand Paid at or before the ensealing and Delivery
       of these Presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Hath Granted
       Bargained Sold Aliened Remised released Enfeoffed and Confirmed and
       by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien remise Release Enfeoff
       and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns forever
       All that Tract Tract or Parcell of Land Situate lying and being
       in Frederick County called and known by the name of Josephs Park
