204. devised advised or Required In Witness whereof the party first above named hath hereunto Set his hand and Affixed his Seal the day and Year first above Written John Hood s Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Us James Hood John Hood Junior On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz January the 14th 1764 Then received of Luke Mercier the Sum of seven pounds Sterling Money and Six hundred and Sixty Seven Pounds of Tobacco it being the Consideration of the within Lands and Premises P Me John Hood Be it Remembered that the within Named John Hood Came before me John Brice one of the Right Honble the Lord Prop.ry Provincial Majestrates for the Province of Maryland & Acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Lands & Premises therein Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within Luke Mercier his heirs and Assigns for ever Taken and Certified (according to the Act of Assembly in that Case made & provided) by me this fourteenth day of January One thousand Seven hundred and sixty four Jn.o Brice 1764 January 17.th Received of M.r Luke Mercier Five shillings and Seven Pence half Penny Sterling for the use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within One hundred and Forty Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his Said Lordships Agent & receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 17.th January 1764 11 s.d |
