201 John Hood have put the Said Sarah Walker in Peacable and Quiet Possession of the afores.d Land and Premises by the delivery unto her at the Ensealing hereof one Coined Piece of silver Commonly Called six Pence fixed on the Seal of these Presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and seal this Sixteenth day of January Anno Domini seventeen hundred & sixty four Signed Sealed and Delivered John Hood s in Presence of Us James Hood John Hood Junior On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz Be it Remembered that the within named John Hood came before me John Brice one of the Right Honble the Lord proprietarys Provincial Justices for the Province of Maryland and Acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and the Lands and Premises with their Appurtenances thereby Given and Granted To be the Estate of the Within named Sarah Walker Taken and Certified (according to the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided) by me this Sixteenth day of January Anno Domini seventeen hundred and sixty four John Brice 5 s.d Recorded the 17.th January 1764 Exam.d This Indenture made this fourteenth day of January Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and Sixty four Between John Hood of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one Part & Luke Mercier of Baltimore County Planter of the other Part Witnesseth that the Said John Hood for and in Consideration of the sum of seven Pounds Sterling Money and six hundred and sixty Seven Pounds of Tobacco which was his Part of the Caution Money and Charge of Pattenting of Salleys Chance Resurveyed to him in hand Paid by the said Luke Mercier at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof the the said John Hood doth Acknowledge and himself therewith fully Satisfied |
