147. On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz Maryland S.t Marys County fs.t 8.th June 1763 Then Came James Lowes and Thomas Simpson Two of the Subscribing Evidences to the within Conveyance before us the Subscribers Two of his Lordships the Lord Proprietarys Justices of the Peace for the County afd and made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that they saw the within named John Younger and Gabriel Griffith Acknowledge and deliver the within Coveyance to the within named John Caile and Elizabeth Caile as their Act and Deed John Black Certified by Hugh Hopewell Maryland S.t Marys County fs.t I hereby Certify that John Black & Hugh Hopewell now are and have ^been^ for some Time Two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the County aforesd Lawfully Authorized and Assigned And to all Acknowledgments Probates Certificates &c by them so signed due faith and Credit is and ought to be given in Justice Court and thereout In Testimony whereof the Publick seal of Saint Marys County Court is hereto affixed this 9.th day of June Anno q.r Dom 1763 L S Richard Ward Key Clk Recorded the 14th day of November 1763 10 s.d x.d This Indenture made the fourteenth day of April in the second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the third and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and sixty two Between John Younger of Whitehaven in the County of Cumberland and Kingdom of England Merchant and Gabriel Griffith of the same place Merchant the now surviving Assignees of the Commissioners appointed and acting in and under a Commission of Bankruptcy Awarded and Issued against Robert Gilpin late of Whitehaven afd Merchant Richard Gilpin Sawrey Esquire on^e^ other of the Assignees of the said Comissioners so |
