103. James Campbell doth hereby confess and Acknowledge that the Said James Campbell hath Granted Bargained and Sold & by these Presents Doth grant Bargain and Sell unto the Said George Maxwell and John Eden their Heirs or Assigns for ever all those Parts Piecesses or parcels of Land whereon he the Said James Campbell now Dwelleth situate lying and being in Charles County afores.d and on the West side of the head of Wicomico River According to the Meets and Bounds thereof Exprest in a certain Deed of Bargain & Sale from Benjamin Philpot to the said James Campbell and in an other certain Deed of Bargain & sale from John Philpot to the said James Campbell said to Contain six hundred & thirty four Acres of Land more or Less & stands Recorded in Charles County records Relation thereunto being had may more at large appear Together with all Houses Orchards Gardens and all other the Improvements thereon & Appurtenances thereunto belonging of any Nature or kinde whatsoever to have & to hold the said Messuages or Tenements of Land & Premisses above mentioned & every Part & Parcel thereof with the Appurtinances Unto the said George Maxwell & John Eden their heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns for ever Provided always and upon Condition that If the said James Campbell his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns do and and shall well & truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said George Maxwell and John Eden their heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns the sum of one Thousand Pounds sterling Money together with the lawful Interest thereon on or before the Twenty fifth Day of December that shall be in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred & sixty five that then and from thence forth these Presents and everything therein Contained to cease determine & be void any thing herein Contained to the Contrary notwithstanding In Witness whereof the Said James Campbell hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day & Year first above Written Ja.s Campbell s Signed Sealed & Delivered in Presence of On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was Jn.o Winter Rob.t Horner thus Written Viz Be it Remembered that this day personally appeared before us the subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Charles County the above named & subscribing James Campbell & Acknowledged the above Deed to be his Act & Deed & the Land & Premisses therein mentioned to be the right of the above named George Maxwell & John Eden their heirs &c According |
