52) Ex.d This Indenture made the Eighteenth day of August in the Year of our Lord ^God^ one Thousand Seven hundred and fifty Six Between William Lock Weems of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Gent of the One part and Nathaniel Chapman of Charles County in the aforesaid Province Merch.t of the Other Part Witnesseth that the said William Lock Weems for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling to him in hand paid by the Said Nathaniel Chapman the receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge hath Bargaind and Sold and by these Presents doth Bargain and sell unto the said Nathaniel Chapman all Those Tracts or Parcels of Land Situate Lying and being as follows Viz.t one Tract Lying in Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland in the Fork of Patuxent River Containing five hundred and thirty four Acres, being one Moiety of a Tract of One thousand and Sixty Nine Acres, ^called^ Billingsley Bounded as follows Viz.t Beginning at a Bounded Hicory standing on the North Branch of the said River and Running thence N. W.t three hundred and eighty perches, thence South West one hundred and fourteen perches, thence South East Sixty Nine Perches, thence South West to the Western Branch of the said River thence Down with the said Branch til a Line Drawn to the Beginning Tree including the fully Quantity of Five hundred and thirty four Acres, and also one other Tract or Parcel of Land being part of a Tract Called Magruder Lying and being on the North side of the River Petuxent (opposite) |
