138) Ex.d This Indenture made the Tenth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty seven Between Philip Conner of Queen Annes County Planter and Charles Conner of Queen Annes County aforesaid Planter of the One Part and James Hutchins of Queen Annes County aforesaid Innholder of the other Part Witnesseth that the Said Philip Conner and Charles Conner for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings Current Money to them in hand paid by the said James Hutchings at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receit whereof they do hereby acknowledge and the said James Hutchins his Executors Administrators and Assigns do thereof Acquit and Discharge Have and each of them Hath granted bargained and Sold and by these Presents Do and each of them Doth grant bargain and Sell unto him the said James Hutchings his Executors Administrators and Assigns All that one hundred and thirty five Acres of Land being Part of a Tract of Land called the Wood Yard Thickett lying and being in Queen Annes County aforesaid which are contained within the following lines and Boundaries Beginning at a Locust Tree adjoining to an Oak on the South Side thereof standing on a point and running from the Said Locust Tree South Seventy Seven Degrees East fourteen Perches South Sixty two Degrees East twenty One Perches South thirty four Degrees East forty seven Perches North Seventy One Degrees East twenty two Perches North fifty Nine Degrees East fifty five perches ^South three degrees East twelve perches south twenty three degrees west fifteen perches to a white Oak^ marked with three Notches, thence South Sixty eight Degrees East eighty four Perches and an half Perch to the South line of the Said Tract thence South sixteen Perches to the end of the South Line of the Said Tract according to Cou^r^se and Distance then South thirty two Degrees West Sixty Perches to Wells's Land and with the same Land West two hundred and six perches to the Bay & from thence up the Bay the Several Meanders thereof and bounding therewith north twenty two Degrees East ten (Perches) |
