631 Maryland fs To all Christian People to whom these Presents shall come We Edward Gaither son of Benjamin and Eleanor his Wife of Frederick County in the Province aforesaid send Greeting Know Ye that he the said Edward Gaither and Eleanor his Wife as well for and in Consideration of the Natural Affection and Brotherly Love which we have unto our well Beloved Brother Henry Gaither of the County aforesaid Planter and for and in Consideration of the Sum of five shillings and also for divers good Causes and Considerations us thereunto moving Have given and Granted and by these Presents do freely Give and Grant unto the said Henry Gaither his heirs and Assigns All that Parcell of Land lying in Frederick County aforesaid in the Forks of Hawlings River Beginning at a double Chesnutt bounded tree and running thence North sixteen degrees East one hundred and two Perches then West sixteen Perches then North twenty one degrees West fifty six Perches then North sixty six degrees west thirty two Perches then North twenty degrees west thirty six Perches then North East Eighty six Perches then North Eighty degrees East seventy four Perches then south thirty three degrees East forty six Perches then South Forty degrees West Two Hundred thirty and one Perches then by a straight line to the first beginning Containing and now laid out for Two Hundred Acres of Land To have and to hold all and singular the aforesaid Lands and Appurtenances unto the said Henry Gaither his heirs and Assigns forever and all the Estate Right Title Interest Property Claim and Demand of and in the said Premisses of us the said Edward Gaither son of Benjamin and Eleanor his Wife our Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns In Witness Whereof we the said Edward Gaither son of Benjamin and Eleanor his Wife have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals this 12.th day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty five Signed and Sealed & delivered Edw.d Gaither in the Presence of us son of Benj.a seal Cornelius Howard his Eleanor Gaither Seal Thomas T Medcalf Mark John Hammond On the Back of the foregoing Deed was thus Written to Witt Received the day and Year within Written of the within named Henry Gaither the Sum of five shillings in full for the Consideration within mentioned We say Rec.d by us Edw.d Gaither son of Benjamin Eleanor Gaither November 12.th 1755 Came Before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Majistrates the within named Edward Gaither son of Benjamin and Eleanor his Wife and Acknowledged the within Instrument and the Land and Premisses therein Contained to be the Right of the within Named Henry Gaither his heirs and assigns forever Geo Steuart Recorded Nov.r 12.th 1755 4 sides |
