56) Seals the day and Year first above Written Sealed & Delivered K T Greenfield Seal in the Presence of John Estep Seal Geo Dent J Chase Rob.t Swan Seal At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received the Day and Year first within mentioned John Estep of and from the within Named Currency Robert Swann the Several Sums of five Pounds Current Money in full for the Consideration £ 10 0 0 Money within mentioned to be by them paid to me Witnesses R T Greenfield Geo Dent March 22 1749 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court 14 1/2 of Maryland all the within parties to this Deed who Severally Acknowledged the same as their Act and Deed for the Uses & Purposes therein mentioned according to Law before me Geo Dent Recorded April 24.th 1759 Ex.d This Indenture made ^in^ this 29 Day of May in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred forty & nine between John Baldwin of Cecil County in the Province of Maryland Gent of the one part and Edward Norwood of Baltimore County in the Province afd Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Baldwin for and in Consideration of the full and just Sum of five Pounds Current Money already to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged and thereof and every part and parcel thereof Doth hereby Acquit and Discharge the said Edward Norwood his Heirs and Executors and Administrators by these Presents ^he the said John Baldwin Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirm and by these Presents^ hath given granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed unto him the said Edward Norwood his Heirs and Assigns forever all his Right Title Propertys and Claims on that parcel of Land called the United Friendship Originally granted unto John Larkins the said Baldwins Grandfather for the Quantity of Seven hundred Acres of Land more or less part of the Land as now appears never to be Sold by the said Larkins with all Rights Profits Benefits Priviledges Improvements and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or any ways appurtaining To have and to hold the aforesaid part of the said Land called United Friendship never yet sold by the said Baldwins Grandfather to him the said Edward Norwood his Heirs and Assigns for ever to his and their use ^only^ proper Use and behoof and the said John Baldwin for himself and his Heirs Doth hereby Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Edward Norwood his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Edward Norwood his Heirs and Assigns shall and may forever hereafter have hold use Occupy Possess and Enjoy said Parcel of Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances without the less Suit Trouble or Denial or Interruption of him the said John Baldwin or his Heirs and the said John Baldwin for himself and his Heirs Doth hereby further Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Edward Norwood his Heirs and Assigns that he the said John Norwood Baldwin and his Heirs the afd Lands and Premisses with the Appurtenances unto him the said Edw.d Norwood his Heirs and Assigns forever will Warrant and defend from any manner of Person or Persons who shall or may lay any Right Title Property or Claims from or under him the said John Baldwin his Heirs Exors Adm.rs forever unto him the said Edward Norwood his Heir and Assigns for ever will defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the said John Baldwin hath hereunto set his Hand and Seal the day and Year above Written Signed Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of John Baldwin Seal Jn.o Brice Jesper Hall Jun.r On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Reced the 29.th May 1749 of M.r Edward Norwood the Sum of five Pounds Curr.t Money being the Consideration within mentioned P John Baldwin Witness Jn.o Brice Jesper Hall Jun.r Mem.d on the 29.th of May 1749 came the within John Baldwin before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships ^Provincial^ Justices and Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed & the Lands & Premisses therein ment.d 6 1/2 to be the Right & Estate of the within Named Edward Norwood his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent & meaning thereof and the Act of Assembly in that Case made & Provided Recorded April 30.th 1750 before Jn.o Brice |
