490 Deceased with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging as in and by the said Recovery remaining of Record in the Provincial Court of the Province of Maryland at Annapolis Relation being thereunto had may more fully appear Now this Indenture witnesseth and it is hereby declared that the true Intent and Meaning of the said Hugh Conn and of all the Parties to the said Recovery and to these Presents was before and at the time of the said Recovery and yet is for touching and Concerning the said Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances and every Part thereof whereof the said Recovery was had and Executed as aforesaid That the said Recovery and the Execution thereof should and shall be and Enure and be Construed Adjudged deemed and taken to be and enure and are hereby Covenanted Granted agreed and declared and the true Intent and Meaning of the Parties to these Presents is that the said Land and Premisses so as aforesaid Recovered shall be and Enure and shall be Construed Esteemed adjudged and taken to be and Enure ^and are declared to have been intended to be and enure^ to the only Proper Use and behoof of the said Thomas Wilcoxon his Heirs and Assigns for Ever and to no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness Whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and affixed their Seals the day & Year first above written Signed Sealed & Delivered Hugh Conn seal In Presence of Tho.s Wilcoxon seal John Hepburn On the back of the aforegoing Deed was John Wilcoxon thus Endorsed Viz.t George Summers 1754 July 27.th Rec.d of Tho.s Wilcoxon five Shill.s Current Money in full Consideration for the within Land & Premisses Test John Hepburn Hugh Conn On the 27.th day of July 1754 Hugh Conn and Thomas Wilcoxon the Parties in the within written Deed Indented named personally came and appeared before me the underwritten One of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary that now is his Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland and did acknowledge the same Deed to be their Act and Deed by them executed to and for the Uses and Purposes therein mentioned and Declared and also Came Elenor the Wife of the said Hugh Conn who being privately Examined out of the Hearing of her Husband did willingly and freely acknowledge the within Deed and give up her Right of Dower of the Land and Premisses within mentioned and without being induced thereto by fears or threats of or ill Usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand the Day and Year first above written John Hepburn August the 15.th 1754 Received of Thomas Wilcoxon the Sum of Four Shillings Sterling as an Alienation fine on the within mentioned One hundred Acres of Land by Order of Edward Lloyd Esq.r Agent of the Right Honourable the Lord Propry of Maryland Recorded Sept.r 7.th 1754 P John Darnall 6 Ex.d This Indenture Made this twenty third Day of August Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and fifty four Between Elizabeth Macleod of the City of Annapolis Widow of the one Part and Walter Dulany of the City aforesaid of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Macleod for & in Consideration of the Sum of Sixty Pounds Current Money of Maryland to her in hand paid by the said Walter Dulany the Receipt whereof she the said Elizabeth Macleod doth hereby acknowledge |
