       their Appurtenances to the own Proper Use and to and for no other Use
       Intent or Purpose whatsoever and to have and to hold the said several Slaves
       and other the Goods and Chattles above mentioned to the said W.m Torver Bartholomew
       Pomeroy and Joseph Janson their Heirs Administrators & Assigns
       to their own Use and behoof and to and for no other use Intent or Purpose
       whatsoever And the said Patrick Creagh for himself his Heirs Executors
       and Administrators doth by these Presents Covenant grant and agree to and
       with the said W.m Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson their Heirs
       Executors Administrators and Assigns That the said Patrick Creagh at the
       Time of Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents is lawfully and rightfully
       seized in his Demesne as of Fee of and in the said Severall Tracts of Lands above
       mentioned with their and every of their Appurtenances absolutely
       discharged from all Incumbrances whatsoever the Quit rents to the Right
       Honble the Lord Proprietor hereafter to grow due only excepted and that
       the said Patrick Creagh and his Heirs the said severall Lands and Tenements
       with their and every of their Appurtenances to the said W.m Torver
       Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson their Heirs and Assigns will
       Warrant and defend and also that ^he^ the said Patrick Creagh the
       severall Servants Slaves Goods and Chattles herein before expressed
       to the said W.m Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy & Joseph
       Janson their Heirs Administrators and Assigns against all
       Persons and Claims whatsoever will Warrant and Defend Provided
       always and it is the true intent and Meaning of these Presents that
       if the said Patrick Creagh shall well and truly pay unto the said W.m
       Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy & Joseph Janson their Certain Attorney
       Executors Administrators or Assigns at the Public Courthouse in
       Annapolis on the first day of August next ^ensueing^ the date hereof the Sum
       of three hundred and sixty pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain
       with lawfull Interest for the same and the like Sum on the first day
       of August which shall be in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and
       fifty five with Lawfull Interest for the Same and the like Sum on the
       first day of August which shall be in the Year of Our Lord Seventeen
       hundred and fifty six with Lawfull Interest for the same and the like
       sum on the first day of August which shall be in the Year of Our Lord
       seventeen hundred and fifty seven with lawfull Interest ^for^ of the same
       and the like Sum on the first day of August which shall be in the Year
       of Our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty eight with Lawfull Interest for the
       same then these Presents and every part and Article thereof shall be Void
       and of None Effect and that the said Patrick Creagh shall stand and be seized
       of his former Estate of and in the several Lands and Tenements aforesaid
       with their and every of their Appurtenances and also possessed of the said
       Servants and Slaves Goods and Chattles as of his former Right And the
       said Patrick Creagh doth Covenant grant and agree for himself and his heirs
       to and with the said William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy & Joseph
       Janson their Executors Administrators and Assigns that the said severall
       Sums of Money with the Legal Interest thereof shall be well and truly
       paid according to the true ^intent^ and meaning of these Present And it is hereby
       Covenanted and Agreed by and between the said Parties that it shall
       and may be lawfull for the said Patrick Creagh to sell and Convey any of the
       Tracts of Land herein before mentioned or any of the said Servants Slaves
       Goods or Chattles for Sterling Money to the best Advantage and highest
       Bidder So always as the Agent or Attorney in fact of the said William
       Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy & Joseph Janson have due and timely
       Notice of such Sale Ten days at least before such Sale shall b made
       and that the Consideration Money arising on or by such Sale shall be
       paid by the Purchaser or Purchasers to the said Agent or Attorney in fact
       and not otherwise In Witness whereof the said Patrick Creagh half
       hereunto set his hand & seal the Day and Year first above written
