486) and Estate of the within Jacob Giles, John Bond Isaac Webster, Hermond Husband & James Perry according to the Effect thereof their Heirs and Assignes for Ever the said Hannah being privately examined whether she made such acknowledgment freely and willingly and without being induced thereto by fears or threats or ill Usage of her said Husband or through fear of his displeasure John Hall Reced this 27.th July 1754 of the within Jacob Giles, John Bond Isaac Webster, Harmand Husband and James Perry the within mentioned sume as therein Exprest P John Webster Testis John Hall Reced of Mess.rs Jacob Giles John Bond Isaac Webster Jun.r Isaac Webster, Herman Husband and James Perry three Shillings Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation fyne on the within mentioned Land) By Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his ^said^ Lordships Agent and Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey Recorded Sept.r 9.th 1754 12 Ex.d This Indenture made the sixteenth day of April Anno Domini seventeen hundred and fifty four Between Patrick Creagh of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland of the one part and W.m Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy & Joseph Janson Assignees of John Philpot & John Hutchinson late of London Bankrupts of the other part Whereas there is now really and bona fide due and owing from the said Patrick Creagh to the said William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy & Joseph Janson the Sum of Eighteen hundred Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain together with Legal Interest thereon from the twenty Ninth day of March 1753 Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Patrick Creagh for and towards Payment and satisfaction of the said Eighteen hundred Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain and the Interest thereof Hath given Granted Bargained sold made over and Confirmed and by these Presents doth give grant Bargain sell make over & Confirm unto the W.m Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy & Joseph Janson the severall Lands and Tenements Servants Slaves and other Goods and Chattles hereafter mentioned to wit my Dwelling House and Lot in Annapolis Number Ninety five and Part of Number Ninety six with all Appurtenances thereunto belonging the Brewhouse and three Lotts and a half in Annapolis being Part of Governour Nicholsons Vineyard with all Outhouses and Large Copper Still thereunto belonging One Tract of Land called Swan Neck on the North Side of Severn River containing Two hundred and fifty Acres also one Tract of Land called Todds Range in Annarundel County near Annapolis Containing One hundred and Twenty Acres with a Good Brick House and all Appurtenances thereunto belonging Part of a Tract of Land in the said County near Annapolis called Brushey Neck containing One hundred sixty four Acres also one Tract Called Chance on Curtis Creek containing One hundred and four Acres also part of a Tract of Land called Covils folly at the Head of S.o River in said County Containing seventy five Acres also the following Negro Men Will, Toney, Charles and Phil Also a Schooner called the Speedwell with all Materials to her belonging To have and to hold the said Severall Lands and Tenements above mentioned with their and every of (their) |
