       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t

       Memorandum that on the twenty third day of February Anno Domini 1749/50 came the
       within named Nicholas Maccubbin and did acknowledge the within written Indenture to be
       his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right of the
       within named Miriam Croley her Heirs and Assigns for Ever and at the same time came
       the Wife of the said Nicholas Maccubbin who being Examined seperately and out of
       Hearing of her Husband according to the Directions of an Act of Assembly in that case
       made and Provided did acknowledge that she did Freely and Voluntarily Renounce all her
       Claim and Right of Dower in and to the said Lands and Premisses before

       Feb.ry 23.d 1749   Received of M.rs Miriam Croley One Pound Nine Shillings and nine
       Pence Sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned
       Seven Hundred and forty three Acres of Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin
11   Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General

Ex.d Vide Deed to which the following Certificate belongs Recorded heretofore in this Book folio 8
       I hereby Certifie that Darby Lux and William Worthington Gentlemen who have Subscribed
       their Names to the above acknowledgment were at the time thereof two of his Lordships Justices
       of Baltimore County thereunto duly Authorized and Qualifyed In Testimony whereof the
       Usual Seal of said County is hereunto Affixed this 7.th Day of March Anno Dom 1749

Ex.d This Indenture made this Second day of October Anno Domini one Thousand Seven hundred &
       Forty nine Between Charles Craycroft of Charles County Gent.n of the one part and Charles Carroll Esq.r of the
       City of Annapolis of the other part Witnesseth that the said ^Charles Craycroft^ for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Pounds
       Sterling to him in hand paid by the said Charles Carroll before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents
       the receipt whereof he the said Charles Craycroft doth hereby Acknowledge Hath Granted Bargained and
       Sold And by these Presents he the said Charles Craycroft Doth Grant Bargain and Sell unto the said
       Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that part of a Tract of Land called Nutwells
       Branch containing one hundred & sixty acres      more or less together with all and Singular
       the appurtenances to the said one hundred and Sixty Acres of Land belonging or in any wise
       appurtaining To have and to hold the said one hundred and Sixty Acres of Land more or less and
       Premisses herein before mentioned and intended to be hereby Granted Bargained and Sold with all and every
       the Appurtenances to the said one hundred and Sixty Acres of Land belonging unto the said Charles
       Carroll his Heirs and Assigns forever to the only proper Use and behoof of him the said Charles Carroll
