48) his Heirs and Assigns forever and to no other Use intent or Purpose whatsoever And the said Charles Craycroft for himself and his Heirs doth Covenant Grant and Agree All and Singular the Land and Premisses afsd with all and singular the Appurtenances against all manner of Persons forever to Warrant and Defend to the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns forever In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents Interchangeably have set their hands and Seals the Day and Year first above Written Charles Craycroft seal Sealed and Deliv.d in the presence of MMacnemara W.m Baker On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t 1749 Oct. 2, Received of Charles Carroll Esq the Sum of five Pounds Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned Charles Craycroft Witness MMacnemara W.m Baker 1749 Oct.r 2 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court 4 Charles Craycroft and Acknowledged the within Deed according to the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided Robert Gordon Recorded March 31.st 1750 Ex.d This Indenture made the fifth day of April Anno Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and fifty Between Daniel Rawlings Senior of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland Planter on the one part and William Hunt of the City of London in the Kingdom of Great Britain Merchant on the other part Whereas the said Daniel Rawlings stands Justly and Bonafide indebted unto the sid William Hunt in the Sum of Two hundred forty and four Pounds fifteen Shillings and four Pence Sterling Money of Great Britain and having not wherewithall in the World immediately to pay the same is willing and desirous to Secure the paym.t thereof by all manner of ways and means in his Power Now this Indenture Witnesseth That the said Daniel Rawlings for and in Consideration of the afsd Debt and of the further sum of five Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said William Hunt the receipt whereof he the said Daniel Rawlings doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and from every part and parcel thereof doth Acquit Exonerate and forever Discharge the said William Hunt his Heirs Executors Adm.rs and Assigns He the said Daniel Rawlings Hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed And by these Presents Doth for himself his Heirs Exors and Adm.rs Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe Confirm unto him the said William Hunt his Heirs Exors Adm.rs and Assigns All those Two hundred Acres of Land lying Baltimore County whereon the said Daniel Rawlings now Dwelleth being part or parcel of two Tracts of Land Granted to the said Daniel Rawlings the one called Jeopardy containing two hundred and fifty Acres the other called Addition to Jeopardy containing one hundred Acres the said two hundred Acres being the remaining part of the afsd two Tracts exclusive of one hundred and fifty acres part thereof Sold by the said Daniel Rawlings in the Year one Thousand Seven hundred and thirty & one unto a certain Christopher Randall Together with all Houses Gardens Orchards Woods Underwoods Timber Timber Trees and all other Improvements Advantages and Appurtenances to the same Two hundred Acres of Land belonging or in any wise Appertaining And the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof And all the Estate Right Title Interest Property Claim or Demand whatsoever of him the said Daniel Rawlings his Heirs Executors or Administrators of in or to the same or any and every part or parcel thereof As also doth Bargain Sell Assign and make over by these Presents unto him the said William Hunt his Executors Adm.rs and Assigns thirteen head of Black Cattle Viz.t one Steer of five Year old one Bull, Six Cows, three Heifers of three Year old each, two Yearlings of one Year old each all of said Cattle being Marked with a Crop and Slit in the left Ear and a Crop and upper cut in the Right Ear ten head of Hoggs of two Year old each marked as before mentioned eight head of old Sheep, three Lambs one Grey Horse called Dobbin branded on the near Shoulder thus I one Black Mare named Bug Branded on the near Shoulder with a Swivel Stirrup Iron one Bay Mare named Flye Branded on the (near) |
