46) Thirty Eight and Conveyed unto Nicholas Maccubbin by the said Doctor Charles Carroll as by Deed Recorded in the Land Records of the Provincial Office bearing Date August the Eighth Anno Domini seventeen hundred and forty Eight Now Know Ye that for and in Consideration of ^the sum of^ One Hundred and Seventy five Pounds Sterling to the said Nicholas Maccubbin in hand paid by the said Miriam Croley the Receipt whereof the said Nicholas Maccubbin Doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and every part thereof Doth fully Acquit Exonerate and Discharge her the said Miriam Croley her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for Ever hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Enfeoffe and Confirm unto her the said Miriam Croley her Heirs and Assigns for Ever All that Piece or Parcel of Land Situate lying and being as before Expressed Beginning for the said Piece or Parcel of Land at a Bounded Poplar it being the Beginning Tree of the said Land called Addition to Charley Forrest and Bounding on and with the Lines of said Land Running North One Hundred and twenty four Perches then North East by North Sixty Perches then North fifty two Perches then South Seventy Degrees Easterly One Hundred and Eighty seven Perches then South fifteen Degrees Westerly One Hundred and twenty perches then South Eighteen Degrees and thirty Minutes Westerly Seventy four Perches across the Land called Addition to Charley Forrest to the Beginning place of the seventeenth Line of the said Land then bounding on and with the Lines of said Land Running South Sixty five Degrees Westerly Two Hundred and twenty Perches then North fifteen Degrees Westerly twenty six Perches then West two Hundred and Ninety three Perches thence North Eleven Degrees and thirty Minutes Easterly One Hundred and thirty nine Perches a Cross the Land called Addition to Charley Forrest to Intersect the Given Line of said Land at the End of fifty Perches from the Beginning place of that Line then Bounding on and with the said Line to the first Beginning Bounded Poplar Containing and laid out for Seven Hundred and forty three Acres of Land be the same more or less together with all Rights Issues Profits Emoluments and Appurtenances to the same Incident or anyways appertaining with all & Singular the Houses out houses Woods underwoods Cultivations Improvements and Hereditaments whatsoever with Reversion and Reversions Remainder & Remainders to the same belonging To have and to hold the said Granted Land with all and Singular the Premisses and Appurtenances to the only proper use and behoofe of her the said Miriam Croley her Heirs and Assigns for Ever And the said Nicholas Maccubbin for himself his Heirs and Assigns Doth further Covenant and agree to and with the said Miriam Croley the afs.d Land with the Premisses and Appurtenances for Ever will Warrant and defend to her the said Miriam Croley her Heirs and Assigns against him the said Nicholas Maccubbin his Heirs and Assigns or any other Person or Persons Claiming or to Claim by from or under him them or any or either of them In Witness whereof the said Nicholas Maccubbin hath hereunto set his hand and Affixed his Seal the Day and Year above written (Nich.o) |
