360) Shillings and one Penny Sterling as also the Sum of Thirty two Pounds and Seven Pence Current Money in full discharge of the said Principal and Interest and Charges in drawing and Recording the said Deed the Receipt whereof he the said Christopher Lownds doth hereby Acknowledge and therewith is fully Content and Satisfyed and thereof doth fully Exonerate and Discharge him the said John Chalmers and the said Charles Carroll his Heirs Executors and Administrators and in Consideration thereof ^He the said Christopher^ Hath by these Presents given granted bargained Sold Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these Presents doth Absolutely give grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever All his Estate Right Title Interest Claim and Demand of in or to the said Tract of Land called Bear Den in Prince Georges County aforesaid or now in Frederick ^County with its Appurtenances & all Profits and Advantages thereto in any wise belonging & Appertaining^ To have and to hold unto him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever in as full and ample manner as he the said Christopher Lowndes his Heirs Executors or Administrators by Virtue of the said recited Deed might or could have hold or enjoy the same either in Law or Equity In Witness whereof and the foregoing Premisses the said Parties have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above written Chris.r Lowndes Seal On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of W.m Webb Thomas Widlake 1753 Reced of Charles Carroll of Annapolis Merchant the Sum of Ster Eleven Pounds Eighteen Shillings & one Penny Sterling and £ 11 18 1 & Thirty two Pounds and Seven Pence Curr.y the Consideration Curr within mentioned April 18.th 1753 £ 32 0 7 Witness I say Reced by me Chris.r Lowndes W.m Webb Thomas Widlake 1753 April 19.th 1753 Then Came before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Prov.l Court Christopher Lowndes of Prince Georges County and Acknowledged the within Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right & Estate of Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis his Heirs and Assigns for ever Agreeable to the Tenor of the within Deed and according to the Act in that Case made and provided Geo Steurat 6 1/2 Recorded April 23.d 1753 |
