345) Reced of John Brice the Sum of fifteen Pounds Sterling Twenty seven Pounds Current Money and One Thousand Pounds of Inspected Tobacco being the Consideration within mentioned P Philip Edwards Witness Benj Beall Walter Clark Mem.d that on the Tenth day of April in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty three the within Named Philip Edwards acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act & Deed and the Lands & Premisses Goods and Chattels within mentioned to be the Right Estate of the within named John Brice his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made & Provided 8 Recorded April 11.th 1753 Geo Steart Vide Assignment of this Mortgage in fol 448 Ex.d This Indenture made the Twenty third Day of March in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty three Between William Lux of Baltimore County Gentleman of the one part and Beale Nicholson of the City of Annapolis Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Lux for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Current Money by the said Beale Nicholson to him in hand paid at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth hereby Release Acquit and Discharge the said Beale Nicholson his Executors Administrators and Assigns All that Tract or Parcel of Land situate lying and being in Baltimore County aforesaid called Walkers Wilderness Continued Surveyed for One hundred and ten Acres. Also all that Tract or Parcel of land situate lying and being in Baltimore aforesaid called Marys Plains Surveyed for Six hundred and twenty five Acres Also all that Tract or Parcel of Land situate lying and being in Baltimore County aforesaid called Gills Fancy Surveyed for One hundred Acres And also all that Lott of Land Situate lying and being in Baltimore Town in Baltimore County aforesaid Numbrd 52. Containing One Acre which said several Tracts or Parcels and Lott of Land now are or late were in the Tenure and Occupation of the said William Lux And the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every part thereof To have and to hold the said several Tracts or Parcels and Lott of Land and Premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Beale Nicholson his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the day next before the Day ^of the Date^ of these Presents for and during and unto the full end and Term of one whole Year from thence next following fully to be Compleat and ended to the Intent and Purpose that the said Beale Nicholson may be in the Actual Possession of the said hereby Bargained and Sold Lands and Premisses with the Appurtenances and may hereby and by force and Virtue of the Statute for Transferring Uses into Possession in that behalf made and provided be Enabled to take a Grant and (Release) |
