343) thirty six Perches then South twenty Degrees West Sixty eight Perches then South Seventy Degrees East sixty Perches then South thirty Perches and then to the beginning Trees aforesaid Containing fifty three Acres of Land more or less together with all Rights Profits Benefits and Priviledges thereunto belonging To have and to hold the same unto him the same Land to Caleb Dorsey and his Heirs for ever and the said Job Evans for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth Covenant and Agree to and with the said Caleb Dorsey his Heirs Executors and Administrators that he the said Job Evans and his Heirs the before Bargained Lands and Premisses to him the said Caleb Dorsey and his Heirs against him the said Job Evans and his Heirs and against all Persons claiming by from or under him the said Job Evans or his Heirs shall and will Warrant and for ever defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the Day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered Job Evans seal in the Presence of H Woodward E Dorsey On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t On the sixteenth Day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty three Came the within named Job Evans before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland and Acknowledged the within Deed and the Land therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within ^named^ Caleb Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever Jn.o Brice Received of M.r Caleb Dorsey the Sum of Ten Pounds Current being the Consideration Money mentioned in the within Deed this sixteenth day of March One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Witness H Woodward Job Evans March the 16.th 1753 Received of M.r Caleb Dorsey two Shillings and a Penny half Penny Sterling for his Lordships Use it being the Alienation Fine on the within mentioned Fifty ^three^ Acres of Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General 5 1/2 Recorded March 17.th 1753 Rich.d Dorsey Ex.d This Indenture made the Tenth day of April in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Between Philip Edwards of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part and John Brice of the City of Annapolis in Ann Arundel County Esquire of the other part Witnesseth that the said Philip Edwards for and in Consideration of the Sums of fifteen Pounds Sterling Money of Great Brittain Twenty seven Pounds Current Money of Maryland and One Thousand Pounds of Inspected Tobacco by the said John Brice to him the said Philip Edwards in hand paid the Receipt whereof he the said Philip Edwards doth hereby (Acknowledge) |
