342) Acknowledge her Right of Dower to the within Henry Threlkeld his Heirs and Assigns for ever John Darnall On the third day of October 1752 Came George Gordon party to the within Instrument of Writing and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed according to the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and Provided John Darnall Received of Henry Threlkeld sixteen Shillings Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation Fine on the within mentioned four hundred Acres of Land) By Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General 8 1/2 Rich.d Dorsey Recorded March 14.th 1753 Ex.d Courses of the part of Friendship laid out by Isaac Brookes for G Gordon and now sold to M.r Henry Threlkeld Beginning at a Bounded Black Oak standing on the North side of a Marsh called Apple Tree Marsh it being the nearest Marsh or Glade up the Main Road from Geo Bussey.s to Munockosey and also a Dividing Tree between Mess.rs Addison and Stoddert of the afsd Tract of Land called Friendship Running thence North 184 Perches N W by W 50 Perches Nor 80 Perch.s S 32 West 28 per.s S 55 W 94 Per.s S 74 W 191 Per.s S Six Degrees E 162 per.s then by a streight line to the Beginning tree Containing & now laid out for four hundred Acres of Land April 1747 Platted by a Seale of 100 Equal Parts in an Inch by Isaac Brooke Recorded at the request of Henry Threlkeld March 14.th 1753 1 1/2 Ex.d This Indenture made the Tenth day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Between Job Evans of Baltimore County Planter of the one part and Caleb Dorsey of Ann Arundel County Gent of the other part Witnesseth that ^he^ the said Job Evans for and in Consideration of the Sum of Ten Pounds Current Money to him in hand paid by the said Caleb Dorsey the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Hath Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Doth Bargain and sell unto ^him^ the said Caleb Dorsey and his Heirs a Tract or Parcel of Land called Timber Ridge lying in Baltimore County but now in Frederick County lying the North side of Patapsco Barrens Beginning at two Bounded White Oaks and a Bounded Maple being Bounded Trees of a Tract of Land called Halls Range and running thence North fifty Degrees West fourteen Perches then North twenty Degrees East twenty Perches then North fifty Degrees West fourteen Perches then South twenty Degrees West twenty Perches then North fifty Degrees West Seventy eight Perches then North twenty Degrees East One hundred and ten Perches then South Seventy Degrees East (thirty) |
