341) thereof do hereby fully and Absolutely Acquit and discharge the said Henry Threlkeld his Executors and Administrators by these Presents they the said George Gordon and James Dick Have Granted Bargained and Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Do Bargain Grant ^Sell^ Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Henry Threlkeld his Heirs & Assigns the above mentioned four hundred Acres of Land being part of a Tract called Friendship lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid which was Originally Granted to Coll.o Thomas Addison and James Stoddert and to be laid off at the South end of the said Benjamin Stodderts Dividend (but so as to Exclude the said Benjamin Stoddert's Plantation & Improvements) Together with the Dwelling Houses Out Houses, Fences Orchards, Improvements and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or any wise Appertaining and also the Reversion and Reversions Remainder & Remainders Right Estate Interest Benefit Claim and Demand of them the said George Gordon and James Dick of in & to the Premisses or any part or parcel of them and of in and to any Lease or Demise or Yearly Rent Reserved for the same To have and to hold the said Land and Premisses before mentioned and intended to be hereby Granted with their & every of their Appurtenances unto the said Henry Threlkeld his Heirs and Assigns for ever to the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said Henry Threlkeld his Heirs and Assigns for Ever more And the said George Gordon and James Dick for themselves & their Heirs the said Land and Premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances unto him the said Henry Threlkeld his Heirs and Assigns against them the said George Gordon and James Dick their Heirs & Assigns and all other Persons Claiming by from or under them will Warrant and for ever defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto set their hands and Affixed their Seals the day and Year above Written Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Us Geo Gordon Seal John Darnall James Dick Attorney in Geo Gardiner fact of the above Seal nam'd William Beach On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t On the thirty first day of October 1752 Received of Henry Threlkeld the Sum of Two hundred twenty six Pounds ten Shillings Sterling being the Consideration Money of the within Granted Land and Premisses Reced by me Anno 1752 Witness G Scott James Dick On the third day of October 1752 Came the within named James Dick and Acknowledged the within Instrument to be his Act and Deed according to the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case made & Provided and at the same time came M.rs Mary Dick Wife to the said James Dick who being Privately Examined out of the hearing of her said Husband did freely & Voluntarily (Acknowledged) |
