300) Joseph Janson bearing Date the 14.th day of Feb.ry 1752 and Proved by the Witnesses thereto the 14.th day of Sep.r 1752 acknowledged the within Lease to be the Act and Acts Deed and Deeds of the within named William Tower Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson according to Act of Assembly before Jn.o Brice Recorded the 16.th Sept.r 1752 8 sides Ex.d This Indenture made the fourteenth day of February in the twenty fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c.a And in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & fifty two Between William Tower of Lime House in the County of Middlesex Merchant Bartholomew Pomeroy of Leadenhall Street London Linnen draper & Joseph Janson of London Merchant of the one part and James Dobbins of London aforesaid Mariner and Captain in the Virginia and Maryland Trade of the other Part Whereas John Philpot now or late of Mile End in the County of Middlesex and John Hutchison now or late of Plastow in the County of Essex Merchants and Partners in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and forty Eight did purchase the Fee of and in a certain Piece or Parcell of Land or Ground containing about an Acre be the same more or less Situate and being in or near Baltimore Town in the County of Baltimore in the Province of Maryland Marked out in Two lots according to the Custom of the said Province and which Two Lots are numbered fifty Nine and Sixty together with a large Brick Messuage or Tenement on the said Land or Ground erected and Built and also all other the Premisses to the said Land or Ground Messuage or Tenement belonging or appertaining And Whereas in and by a certain Indenture or Bargain and sale bearing Date the Twenty fourth Day of January in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty two and made or mentioned to be made between John Locker Esq.r and Richard Woo^l^fe and John Lucas Gentleman of the One Part and the said William Tower Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Ja^n^son of the Other Part Reciting that the King's Majesty's Commission under the Great Seal of Great Brittain Grounded upon the several Statutes made concerning Bankrupts bearing Date at Westminster the nineteenth Day of July in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty was awarded and Issued against the said John Philpot and John Hutchinson directed to the said John Locker Richard Woolfe and John Lucas together (With) |
