       Provincial Court John Jones within mentioned and Acknowledged the within Deed to be his
       Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of
       the within named James Brooke and his Heirs for ever according to the directions of the Act of
       Assembly

Ex.d This Indenture made this Tenth day of March Anno Domini One Thousand Seven
       Hundred and fifty two Between William Woodward of the City of London Goldsmith and Mary
       Holmes of Newington Butts in the County of Surrey in the Kingdom of England Widow as
       well in their own Right as Trustees and Devisees of Mary Woodward late of the said Newington
       Butts deceased Benjamin Baron and Elizabeth his Wife Cornelius Kehown and Sarah his
       Wife of the one part and Philip Stoops of Cecil County Planter of the other part Witnesseth that
       they the said William Woodward, Mary Holmes, Benjamin Baron and Elizabeth his Wife
       Cornelius Kehown and Sarah his Wife for and in Consideration of One hundred and forty Pounds
       Ten Shillings Sterling or two hundred and eighty one Pounds Current Money at the Choice
       of the said Philip Stoops to them paid or Secured to be paid Have Granted Bargained
       Sold Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these Presents Do Grant Bargain Sell Alien
       Release and Confirm unto the said Philip Stoops his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract
       or Parcel of Land Containing One hundred and forty Acres and one half Acre of Land more
       or less being part of a Tract of Land Containing Six hundred Acres called Middle lying
       in Cecil County afsd Purchased by Amos Garrett from a certain Hezekiah Haynes with
       the Appurtenances To have and to hold the said One hundred and forty Acres and
       Assigns for ever And the said William Woodward Mary Holmes Benjamin Baron and
       Elizabeth his Wife Cornelius Kehown and Sarah his Wife Do hereby for themselves and
       every of them for their and every of their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns Covenant
       Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Philip Stoops his Heirs and Assigns that they
       the said William Woodward Mary Holmes Benjamin Baron and Elizabeth his Wife
       Cornelius Kehown and Sarah his Wife their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns
       the said Land and Premisses hereby Granted or Sold or mentioned to be Granted or Sold
       and every part and Parcel thereof with all and singular it's Appurtenances unto the said
       Philip Stoops his Heirs and Assigns against them the said William Woodward Mary Holmes
       Benjamin Baron and Elizabeth his Wife Cornelius Kehown and Sarah his Wife and every
       of them and against all and every Person or Persons Claiming by from or under them or
       any of them or from by ^or^ under the said Amos Garrett Mary Woodward and a certain
       Elizabeth Gin deceased and against all and every of them shall and will Warrant and
       for ever defend by these Presents And Lastly that the said William Woodward
       Mary Holmes Benjamin baron and Elizabeth his Wife Cornelius Kehown and
