279) and to all and singular the said Premisses and of in and to every part and Parcel thereof with the Appurtenances To have and to hold the said Land^s^ and Premisses and all and singular every part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances unto the said Philip Thomas his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and behoof of him the s.d Philip Thomas his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and meaning of these Presents and to and for none other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the said Partys to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the Year and Day abovesaid Signed Sealed & Delivered Wm Thornton seal in the Presence of John Darnall Geo Steuart On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received of Philip Thomas the Sum of Two hundred and forty Pounds Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned P Wm Thornton Geo Steuart Memorandum on the thirtieth day of April 1752 Came the within named William Thornton and Acknowledged the within Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right of the within named Philip Thomas his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the directions of an Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided before me Geo Steuart Received of M.r Philip Thomas Three Pounds ten Shillings and three Pence half Penny Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation fine on the Lands within mentioned) By Virtue of a Commission from Benj.a Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General 6 Recorded May 25.th 1752 Rich.d Dorsey Ex.d This Indenture made this ninth day of December in the Year of our Lord God seventeen hundred and fifty one Between Thomas Parry of Batheston in the County of Summerset Clothier Son and Heir of John Parry of Maryland and Dorothy his Wife one of the Daughters and Coheiresses or Cornelius White of Charles County deceased of the one part and John Worthington of Ann Arundel County Merchant in Maryland of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Parry for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty Pounds Sterling Money to him in hand paid the receipt of which he the said Thomas Parry doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and of and from every part and parcel thereof doth fully freely ^fully^ and Absolutely Exonerate Acquit and Discharge the said John Worthington his Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them by these Presents for ever Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Remised Released and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff Remise Release & Confirm to the said John Worthington his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Welsh's Cradle lying in Baltimore County on the North side of Patapsco River at a place called Newfound Land Together with all and singular the Houses Edifices and Buildings Woods Underwoods Cornfields Pastures Fences ways Easements and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any ways appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues (and) |
