275) of Land with the Appurtenances To have and to hold the said Tract of Land with the Appurtenances unto the same Thomas Harris his Heirs and Assigns for ever And to the only proper Use and behoof of the said Thomas Harris his Heirs and Assigns for ever, And the said Phillip Holleager for himself his Heirs Executors and Adm.rs doth further Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Thomas Harris his Heirs and Assigns by these Presents That he the said Philip Holeagear his Heirs Exors and Adm.rs shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter at the request and at the proper Cost and Charges in the Law of him the said Thomas Harris his Heirs and Assigns make do Acknowledge and Execute or cause to be made done Executed and Acknowledged all & every such further Act thing or things devices and Conveyances and Assurances in the Law whatsoever for the further better and more perfect Assurance Surety Suremaking and Conveying of all and singular the before hereby Granted and Sold Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances unto the said Thomas Harris his Heirs and Assigns for ever as by the said Thomas Harris his Heirs or Assigns or his or their Council learned in the Law shall be reasonably devised Advised or required In Witness whereof the Parties above mentioned have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Affixed their Seals the day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered In the Presence of Phillip Holeadger Seal John Downes jun.r Tho.s Walker On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received of Thomas Harris this twentyeth day of May Seventeen hundred and fifty two, One hundred and fifty six Pounds Current Money of the Province of Pensylvania being for the Purchase of the Lands within & above mentioned Received by me Witness John Downes jun.r Phillip Holeadger Tho.s Walker Memorandum that on the twenty first day of May in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty two Philip Holeager Personally appeared before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices and did Acknowledge the within and above Deed of Sale to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Absolute Right Title and Property of him the within and above named Thomas Harris his Heirs & Assigns for ever to the Uses therein mentioned Acknowledged before me according to the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided the day and Year first above Written Geo Steuart May 21.st 1752 Received of M.r Thomas Harris Sixteen Shillings Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned four hundred Acres of Land) By Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver 8 General Rich.d Dorsey Recorded May 21.st 1752 Ex.d This Indenture made the Twenty eighth day of April Anno Dom One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty two Between Philip Thomas of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Esq.r Administrator of Samuel Chew Sen.r deceased of the one part and William Thornton of the City of Annapolis of the other part Witnesseth That Whereas the said Samuel Chew Sen.r late of Ann Arundel County deceased did by his last Will and Testament Devise to his Son (Samuel) |
