       before Us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Queen Annes
       County and did Severally Acknowledge the same Deed within Written to be their Act and
       Deed to and for the Uses Intent and Purposes therein limitted declared Expressed and
       mentioned and the same Anne being by Us Privately examined out of the sight and
       hearing of her said Husband declared that she executed the same Deed and made the
       same Acknowledgment Voluntarily and freely and without being Induced thereto by
       Fear or Threats of or Ill Usage from her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure In
       Testimony whereof We have hereunto set our hands the day and Year above Written

       thousand Seven hundred and fifty two Anne Rogers within named Personally appeared
       before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of
       Maryland and Acknowledged the within Deed to be her Act and Deed and being
       Privately Examined out of the hearing of her Husband declared that she made the same
       Acknowledgement and Executed the same Deed Voluntarily and freely and without
       being Induced thereto by fear or threats of or Ill Usage from her said husband or fear
       of his Displeasure   In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day
       and Year above Written

Ex.d This Indenture made this Twenty seven Day of January Anno Domini One Thousand
       Seven hundred and fifty two Between John Hammond son of Charles of Ann Arundel County
       in the Province of Maryland Gent of the one part and Adam Shipley of the afsd County
       and Province Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Hammond for and in
       Consideration of the Sum of Thirty Seven Pounds ten Shillings Sterling Money to him in hand
       paid at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents by the said Adam Shipley
       the receipts whereof ^he^ the said John Hammond doth hereby Acknowledge and himself therewith
       to be fully Satisfyed Contented and paid and thereof and therefrom and from every part
       and Parcel thereof doth fully Clearly and Absolutely Exonerate Acquit and Discharge
       the said Adam Shipley his Heirs and Assigns for ever ^Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth fully Clearly & Absolutely give grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Adam Shipley his Heirs & Assigns for ever^ All such Moiety or part of a
       Tract of Land called Johns Chance scituate and lying partly in Ann Arundel County
       and partly in Baltimore County Containing by Patent sixteen hundred and three
       Acres of Land (the said Moiety or part of Johns Chance Beginning at two Bounded
       of the afsd Johns Chance standing at the end of the eighty eight Course of the said
       Johns Chance and running from the said Trees with the Original lines of the said Johns
       Chance South thirty Degrees West Ninety Perches still with the said Land South six
       Degrees East forty Perches still with the said Land North eighty two Degrees West
       One hundred and forty eight Perches still with the said Land South sixty four
       Degrees West One hundred and twenty Perches Still with the said Land North
