247) and Company in Iron Works in the Sum of fourteen Pounds eighteen Shillings and two Pence half Penny which since hath been paid and Satisfyed by the said Charles Carroll Surgeon And Whereas the said John Youngblood by his Letter dated the sixteenth day of December last requested that One hundred Acres of Land taken up by said Dulany & Company for him in Frederick County aforesaid called Youngblood's Choice might be made over to the said Charles Carroll Surgeon Now this Indenture further Witnesseth that the said Charles Carroll Esquire for and in Consideration of the said Sum of Fourteen Pounds eighteen Shillings and two Pence half Penny to the said Daniel Dulany Esquire and Company in Iron Works paid and Satisfyed the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Hath Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Released and Confirmed And by these Presents Doth Absolutely Bargain Sell Alien Enfoffe Release and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll Surgeon All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Youngblood's Choice containing One hundred Acres situate in Frederick County aforesaid on the Draughts of Great Pipe Creek as by the Patent thereof bearing date the first day of December One Thousand Seven hundred forty and three Granted unto him the said Charles Carroll Esquire together with all and singular the Appurtenances and Improvements thereon or thereto belonging and Appertaining To have and to hold unto him the said Charles Carroll Surgeon his Heirs and Assigns for ever the said Land called Youngbloods Choice with its Appurtenances as well against him the said Charles Carroll Esquire as against any Person or Persons claiming or to claim from by or under him In Witness whereof and the foregoing Premisses the said Parties to these Presents have Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Char.les Carroll Seal Will.m Baker Charles Carroll On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Then was the within Deed Acknowledged according to Law Before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court This 2.d Day of April 1752 [illegible] April the 3.d 1752 Received of Doct.r Charles Carroll four Shillings Sterling for his Lordships Use it being the Alienation Fine on the within mentioned One hundred Acres of Land By Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey 4 1/2 Recorded April 3.d 1752 Ex.d Know all Men by these Presents That I James Johnson sometime in Maryland now of the City of Glasgow in North Britain Merchant Have made Ordained Constituted and by these Presents Do make Ordain and Constitute and in my place and stead put and depute my Trusty and Loving Friend M.r James Johnson of the City of Annapolis and Province of Maryland Merch.t or in Case of his Death or Inability to (Act) |
