200) Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within mentioned Jeremiah Purdum and Acknowledged the within Deed as his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses to be the Right and Estate of the within mentioned Thomas Hutchcraft and his Heirs according to the true Intent & the said Deed and the Act of Assembly in that case made and Provided Acknowledged before me this 24.th Day of September 1751 John Darnall 6 Recorded Oct.r 4.th 1751 Ex.d This Indenture made this Seventh day of August in the Year of our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven hundred and forty nine Between Ernault Hawkins of Queen Annes County in the Province of Maryland Planter and Jane his Wife of the one part and Robert Hawkins of the same County Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the same Ernault Hawkins and Jane his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Current Money of Maryland to them in hand paid by the same Robert the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged and for divers other good [illegible] Considerations them thereunto moving Hath Granted Bargained and Sold and by these Presents do Grant Bargain and Sell unto the same Robert Hawkins all that Plantation and Tract of Land called Brampton situate lying and being in the County aforesaid on Chester River Beginning at a marked Oak being the Bounded Tree of a Parcel of Land formerly laid out for George Reade and running down the River One hundred and Twenty five Perches to a marked Oak from thence South East three hundred and twenty Perches thence North East untill it Intersect the Land of George Read and Bounded on the North with Reads Land and on the West with Chester River laid out for and containing two hundred and fifty Acres of Land more or less Together with all and singular the Rights Members and Appurtenances thereof and thereunto belonging or in any manner appertaining and all the Estate Right Title and Interest of them the said Ernault and Jane his Wife and of each and either of them of in and to the same Plantation and Tract of Land and of ever part and parcel thereof with the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders thereof To have and to hold all and singular the Plantation and Tract of Land afs.d called Brampton with the Premisses and Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the same Robert Hawkins his Heirs and Assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these Presents for and during the Term of one whole Year from thence next ensuing and [illegible] [illegible] and ended Yielding and Paying therefore on the last day of the same Term to the same Ernault and Jane or their Assigns one Ear of Indian Corn on the afs.d Granted Premisses if the same shall be demanded to the Intent and Purpose and the better to Enable the same Ernault and Jane his Wife to Grant Release and Convey all and singular the aforesaid hereby Granted and Bargained Plantation and Tract of Land with the Premisses and Appurtenances thereunto belonging and the Reversion and Inheritance thereof unto the same Robert Hawkins his Heirs and Assigns for ever to the Uses Intent and Purposes (and) |
