199) Ann Arundel County Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jeremiah Purdum for and in Consideration of the Sum of thirteen Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Hutchcraft before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledged and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof doth freely clearly and absolutely Acquit Exonerate and Discharge the said Thomas Hutchcraft his Executors and Administrators by these Presents and for divers other good Causes and Considerations him thereunto moving he the said Jeremiah Purdum hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirm unto the said Thomas Hutchcraft and his Heirs All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Purdums Range lying and being in Ann Arundel County Between the head Drafts of Snowdens River and a Branch of the said River called John's Cabbin Branch containing and laid out for fifty Acres of Land more or less which said Tract or Parcel of Land was Originally Surveyed and laid out for the said Jeremiah Purdum in the Twenty third day of February in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and forty eight as by the said Certificate duly Recorded in the Land Office of this Province referrence being thereunto had may more fully appear And all and singular the Houses Gardens Meadows and Improvements to the same belonging And also the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Right Estate Interest Benefit Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Jeremiah Purdum of in and to all and singular the said Premisses and of in and to every part and parcel of them To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land and all and singular other the Premisses herein before mentioned and intended to be hereby Granted with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Thomas Hutchcraft his Heirs and Assigns forever to the only Use and Behoof of him the said Thomas Hutchcraft his Heirs and Assigns And the said Jeremiah Purdum for himself and his Heirs the said Tract or Parcel of land [illegible] and all and singular other the Premisses with their and every of their appurtenances unto him the said Thomas Hutchcraft his Heirs and Assigns against him the said Jeremiah Purdum his Heirs and Assigns and all Persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and Defend In Witness whereof the Partys to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered Jeremiah Purdum Seal in the Presence of Zach Hood John Darnall On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received of Thomas Hutchcraft the Sum of Thirteen Pounds Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned this twenty fourth Day of September 1751 Witness Jeremiah Purdum Zach Hood John Darnall (Came) |
