198) Right Estate Interest Benefit Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Edward Dorsey of in and to all and singular the said Premisses and of in and to every part and parcel of them To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land and all and singular other the Premisses herein before mentioned and intended to be hereby Granted with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Basil Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever to the only Use and Behoof of him the said Basil Dorsey his Heirs & Assigns And the said Edward Dorsey for himself and his Heirs the said Tract or Parcel of Land and all and singular other the Premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances unto him the said Basil Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns against him the said Edward Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns and all Persons claiming by from or under him or any of them shall & will Warrant and Defend In Witness whereof the Partys to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered E Dorsey Seal In the Presence of Robert Gordon H Woodward On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) Received of M.r Basil Dorsey the Sum of Sixty six Pounds Seven Shillings and six pence Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned the fifth day of September 1749 Witness H Woodward E Dorsey Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within mentioned Edward Dorsey and acknowledged the within Deed as his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within mentioned Basil Dorsey and his Heirs according to the true intent of the [illegible] and at the same time came Henrietta Maria the Wife of the said Edward Dorsey who being Examined by me privately and out of the hearing of her said Husband declared that she relinquished her Right of Dower in the within mentioned Land and that she did [illegible] freely and voluntarily and that she was not Compelled thereto by Fears or Threats of her said husband or fear of his Displeasure Acknowledged before me the fifth day of September 1751 Robert Gordon Sept.r the 20.th 1751 Received of M.r Basil Dorsey Eleven Shillings and ten pence Sterling for his Lordships Use it being the Alienation Fine on the within mentioned two hundred and ninety five Acres of Land By Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Recorded Oct.r 4.th 1751 Rich.d Dorsey 7 Ex.d This Indenture made the Twenty fourth day of September in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty one Between Jeremiah Purdum of Ann Arundel County Planter of the one part and Thomas Hutchcraft of (Ann Arundel) |
