Ex.d To all to whom these Presents shall come I Jonathan Troy Esquire Mayor of the
       Borough of Stockton in the County of Durham and Kingdom of Great Britain do hereby
       Certify that on the day of the date hereof Personally came and appeared before me Joseph
       Nicholson of Chester Town in Kent County in the Province of Maryland Merchant
       Samuel Nicholson of Stockton aforesaid Doctor in Physick and Elizabeth his Wife and
       did then and there before me and in my Presence and in the Presence of Ralph Bradley
       of Stockton aforesaid Gentleman in due form of Law Sign Seal and as their respective
       Acts and Deeds deliver and Acknowledge the Letter of Attorney above Written and the
       Indentures of Lease and Release hereto Annexed in the said Letter of Attorney Specifyed
       and described in the order and manner following (to wit) the said Lease first
       afterwards the Release and afterwards the said Letter of Attorney And I do hereby
       further Certify that the said Elizabeth is of full Age and was solely and seperately
       examined apart from her Husband and freely and Voluntarily consented to executed &
       Acknowledged the said Indentures of Lease and Release and Letter of Attorney and that
       she knew the same to be a Conveyance to Barr her Title of Dower and to pass all her
       Interest of and in a part of a Tract of Land called Nicholsons Mannor lying in
       Baltimore County in the said Province of Maryland containing about four Thousand
       two hundred Acres Together with all Woods Woodlands and Underwoods being
       parcel of or comprised within the said four Thousand two Hundred Acres
       In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Mayor have set my hand and Caused
       the Common Seal of ^the said Borough of^ Stockton to be hereto part and Affixed and the said Indentures of
       Lease and Release to be hereto also Annexed dated at Stockton aforesaid the
       Ninth day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred & fifty
