Ex.d This Indenture made the sixth Day of November Anno Domini One
       Thousand seven Hundred and forty Nine Between Stephen Steward of Ann Arundell
       County Son of John Steward late of the said County Ship Wright Deceased of the one
       Part and Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis
       Esq.r Charles Carroll Son ^of^ Daniel Carroll late of Duddington Manor in Prince Georges
       County Deceas'd and Charles Carroll of the s.d City Chyrurgeon on the other part
       Witnesseth Whereas Benjamin Tasker of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland
       ^and^ Company in Iron Works Obtained a Writ out of the Chancery Court of the said
       Province By Virtue of an Act of Assembly Entituled An Act for Encouragement
       of Iron Manufacture within this Province Directed to the Sheriff of Baltimore
       County By Virtue whereof One Hundred Acres of Land was Valued and Condemned
       for Building thereon a Forge Mill and other Conveniences for making Bar Iron
       in which One Hundred Acres of Land is about the Quantity of Sixty Acres of a
       Tract of Land called New Town Situate on the falls of Patapsco Called Gwins Falls
       which was Valued by a Jury Impannelled for that purpose at the Rate of Eighteen
       Shillings Current Money P Acre and which Tract called New Town became the Right
       of John Steward who by his Last Will and Testament Devised the said Tract to his
       two Sons John and Stephen Steward and their Heirs for Ever Now this Indenture
       further Witnesseth that the said Stephen Steward for and in Consideration of the Sum of
       Five Pounds to him in hand paid by Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany and Mess.rs
       Carrolls afs.d at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt
       whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof Doth Acquit and Discharge
       them the said Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany and Mess.rs Carrolls their Heirs Exors
       and Adm.rs Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Released and
       Confirmed And by these Presents Doth Alien Enfeoffe Release and Confirm unto
       them the said Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany and Mess.rs Carrolls afs.d and unto
       their Heirs and Assigns for Ever All the Estate Right Title Interest Claim and
       Demand whatsoever of him the said Stephen Steward of in and to the said Tract of
       Land called New Town Situate on Gwins Falls on the North side of Patapso River in
       Baltimore County afs.d formerly taken up by Rowland Halton and Richard Gwin for
       two hundred Acres and which became the Right of John Steward Father to Stephen
       Steward party to these Presents with all & Singular the Woods Underwoods Buildings Improvements
       Advantages and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said land belonging or in any ways
       appertaining To have and to hold unto the said Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his Heirs and
       Assigns for Ever One fifth part of the said Land To have and to hold unto the said
       Daniel Dulany Esq.r his Heirs and Assigns for Ever one fifth part of the said Land
       To have and to hold unto the said Charles Carroll Esq.r his Heirs and Assigns for Ever
       One fifth Part of the said Land To have and to hold unto the said Charles Carroll
       Chyrurgeon his Heirs and Assigns for Ever one fifth part of the said Land To have and
       to hold unto      Charles Carroll Son and Heir at Law of Daniel Carroll of
       Duddington Manor Deceased and his Heirs for Ever One fifth part of the said Land and
       Premisses Respectively with all and singular the Appurtenances as Tenants in Common
       and not as joint Tenants to take by Survivorship And the said Stephen Steward for
       himself his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs Doth Covenant Grant and Agree to and with the
       said Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany and Mess.rs Carrolls their Heirs and Assigns
       Respectively that they the said Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany and Mess.rs
       Carrolls afs.d they or either of them their or either of their Heirs and Assigns Respectively
