       Day of March Anno Dom Seventeen hundred forty & four the
       within named Nathaniel Wright & Thomas Wilkinson personally
       came & appeared before me one of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary
       his Justices of the Prov.l Court of Maryland & freely acknowledged the
       within written Deed to be the Act & Deed of them the said Nathaniel
       and Thomas in Testimony whereof I have hereunto sett my hand the
       Day & Year above written

Ex.d This Indenture made the Seventeenth Day of March in the Year
       of Our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and forty four Between Tho.s
       Edmondson of Prince Georges County Gentleman of the one Part and Jn.o
       Smith Prather of Charles County Planter of the other Part Witnesseth
       that the said Thomas Edmondson for and in Consideration of five Shillings
       Current money to him in Hand paid by the said John Smith Prather
       at or before the ensealing and delivery of these Psents the Receipt whereof is
       hereby acknowledged hath bargained and Sold and by these Psents Doth
       bargain and Sell unto the said John Smith Prather All these one hundred
       and ninety two Acres of Plantable Land being Parcel of a Tract of Land
       called Bear Garden Enlarged lying and being in Prince George's County
       with their appurtenances and also all these four hundred and Twenty
       Eight Acres of Plantable Land being Parcel of a Tract of Land called
       Deer Park lying and being in the County afs.d with their appurtenances
       To have and to hold the several parts or Parcels of Land afs.d with all and
       singular the appurtenances hereby Bargained and Sold or mentioned or
       intended to be hereby Bargained and Sold unto the said John Smith Prather
       his Exors Admors or Assigns from the Day next before the Day of the date
       of these Presents for during and unto the full end and Term of one whole Year
       from thence next ensuing and fully to be Compleat and ended to the intent
       and purpose that the said John Smith Prather may be the better enabled to
       recieve and take a Grant or Release of the Premisses hereby bargained
       and Sold or mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and Sold to him
       and his Assigns in Such Sort manner and form as in and by one Indenture
       intended to bear date the Day next after the Day of the Date of these
       Presents the same shall be Granted released and Conveyed   in Witness whereof
       the said Thomas Edmonson hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day
       and Year above Written                                       Tho.s Edmonston seal
