445) have Acquiesced Consented and Agreed Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said George Plater for and in Consideration of five Shillings Current Money to him in hand paid by the said Benedict Calvert as well as in Pursuance of the said Reference and Determination hath Granted Bargained Sold Released and Confirmed And by these Presents doth Bargain Sell Release and Confirm unto the said Benedict Calvert and his Heirs and Assigns All that af.d Tract of Land called the Hermitage with all houses outhouses and Appurtenances thereto belonging To have and to hold the same Premisses with the appurtenances unto the said Ben^e^dict Calvert his Heirs and Assigns forever And the said George Plater doth hereby for himself his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns Covenant Promise and agree to and with the said Benedict Calvert and his Heirs that he the said George Plater and his Heirs the said hereby intended Bargained Premisses unto the said Benedict Calvert and his heirs and Assigns against him the said George Plater and his Heirs or any Person or Persons claiming under him them or any of them shall and will Warrant and Defend In Witness whereof the partys first above mentioned have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above Written Signed Sealed & Delivered Geo Plater Seal in the Presence of On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed Viz.t Signed Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of Edm Jenings Jn.o Brice 9.th June 1748 Then came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named (George) |
