Ex.d   This Indenture ^made^ the fifteenth Day of August in the
       year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty
       six between John Hall of Lyons Creek in Calvert County
       Gentleman of the one part & Christopher Grindall of
       London Mariner of the other part Witnesseth that the said
       John Hall for & in consideration of the sum of two hundred &
       sixty ^three^ pounds & four & six pence sterling money of great Britain
       to him in hand paid by the said Christopher Grindall at or
       before the ensealing & Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
       he doth hereby acknowledge & thereof & ^of^ every part & parcell
       thereof doth fully clearly & absolutely acquit exonerate and
       Discharge the said Christopher Grindall his heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs
       and assigns by these presents & for divers other good causes &
       Consideration him thereunto moving he the said John Hall hath
       granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed & confirmed and
       & by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff
       and confirm unto the said Christopher Grindall his heirs
       and assigns all that Tract or parcell of Land called Lyons
       Creek lying and being in Calvert County containing three
       hundred acres and all that Tract or parcell of Land called
       Highlands lying & being in Calvert County containing two hundred
       acres and all that Tract or parcell of Land called Chance
       lying and being in Calvert County containing seventy two
       acres and all & singular the houses Buildings Barnes [illegible]
       Gardens Orchards Edifices & Improvements whatsoever to
       them & every of them belonging or in any manner appertaining
       and the reversion and reversions Remainder & Remainders
       Rents Issues and profits of the said premisses and of every of
       them & all the Estate ^right^ title Interest use trust property claim &
       Demand Whatsoever of him the said John Hall his Exr.s &
       Adm.rs of in to or out of the af.d Tracts or parcells of Land &
       premisses and every of them with their & every of their
       appurtenances To have and to hold the said
       three Tracts or parcells of Land & all & singular other
