       And the said Charles Carroll and his Heirs the af.d Lott of Land and
       premisses with the Appurtenances unto him the said Philip Jones his
       Heirs & Assigns for ever against all and every other Person or persons
       Whatsoever Claiming by from or under him the said Charles Carroll
       or his Heirs or by their Means or Procur^e^ment shall and will Warrant
       And for ever Defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the
       said Charles Carroll hath hereunto set his hand and seal the Day
       & Year first above written
