178) This Indenture made Between Stephen Onion of Baltimore County Iron Master on the one part & Charles Carroll of Annapolis in Annarundel County Chyrurgeon on the other part Witnesseth that the said Stephen Onion for and in consideration of the sum of twenty Pounds Sterling money of great Britain to him in hand paid by the said Charles Carroll the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge Hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed ^released^ and Confirmed and by these presents doth Absolutely give Grant bargain Sell Alien Enffeoffe Release and confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll his heirs and assigns forever all that Tract or parcell of Land Scituate on the South Side of Gunpowder river in the County of Baltimore ^af.d^ called Onions Boggy Island Beginning at two bounded White Oaks the red oak being Cut down two of the trees bounded for the Lower Island surveyed for Boys Wright and running thence South twenty Degrees West forty P.s South twenty Degrees West four P.s South thirty Six Degrees West thirty four P.s South fifty two Degrees West twenty Perches south seventy two degrees West twenty two Perches north seventy one Degrees West thirty four Perches south fifty five degrees West four Perches South twelve degrees West twenty four P.s south seventeen Degrees East thirty six P.s north sixty Degrees East thirty two P.s north forty two Degrees East twenty two P.s north seventy Degrees East forty six P.s North twenty five Degrees East twenty P.s North Sixty four Degrees East thirty two P.s north fifteen Degrees east twenty Eight P.s North five Degrees last forty Eight P.s North Eighteen Degrees East forty perches north seventy six Degrees east twelve P.s North seventy Degrees West twenty Eight P.s north forty Eight Degrees West twenty Perches South Eighty Degrees West fifteen P.s North thirty one Degrees West fifty Eight Perches South forty degrees West forty five P.s and thence by a streight line to the Beginning Containing and laid out for seventy six (Acres) |
