       John Hepburn Gent who took the foregoing acknowledgment are
       two of his Lordships Justices of Prince Georges County Legally Commissioned
       & Appointed In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand &
       Affix the County Seal the Day & year above written

Ex.d This Indenture made the fifteenth Day of August Anno Dom
       seventeen hundred and thirty Eight Between Mordecai Hammond
       and Frances his Wife the Daughter of John Lillingston of the
       one part and Thomas Manyard of the other part witnesseth
       that the said Mordecai Hammond and Frances his Wife for and
       in Consideration of the Sum of fifty Pounds Sterling Money of England
       in hand paid have Given granted bargained sold Enfeoffed and
       Confirmed and doth by these presents Give Grant bargain sell
       Enfeoffe and Confirm unto him the said Thomas Manyard his
       Heirs and Assignes for Ever Two tracts of Land lying in Queen
       Annes County near Chester River on the South Said Doble Creek
       the one Called Lillingstons Castle Containing five hundred Acres
       and the other Called the Addition Containing three hundred &
       fifty Acres boath Which said Tracts of Land were taken up by
       M.r John Lillingston and by his Will given to his Daughter the af.d
       Frances To have and to hold the af.d Two Tracts of Land unto him
       the said Thomas Maynard his Heirs and Assignes for ever And
       the said Mordecai Hammond and Frances his Wife doth for
       themselves and their Heirs Covenant and Agree to & with the
       said Thomas Manyard his Heirs and Assignes that he the said
       Mordecai Hammond and Frances his Wife shall and will from time
       to time & at all times hereafter warrant and Defend the af.d two
       Tracts of Land to him the said Thomas Manyard his Heirs & Assigns
       for Ever against him the said Mordecai Hammond and Frances
       his Wife as well as from and against all other Persons Claiming
       by from or under them their Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assignes In Witness
       whereof the said Mordecai Hammond and Frances his Wife
