       Land called Welshe's Cradle lying on the North Side of Patapsco River at a Place
       called Newfoundland on the twentieth Day of October Seventeen hundred and forty by
       his Lordship the Right Honble Charles Lord Baltimore granted to the said William
       Worthington Jun.r under his Lordship's Great Seal of the said Province and beginning at two
       bounded White Oaks of a Parcel of Land called Melinda & runs thence South East half
       South twenty Perches to a bounded Hiccory & two White Oaks by a Run then East by North
       two hundred and fifty Perches then North North East four hundred and thirty six Perches
       then West North West seven hundred and forty Perches then South South West four
       hundred Perches then East South East five hundred & eighteen Perches then to the first Trees
       containing and laid out for two thousand Acres of Land more or less together with
       all Edifices buildings Houses Gardens Yards Orchards woods underwoods
       Water Courses ways Easements Comodities and advantages thereto
       belonging or in any wise appurtaining To Have and to Hold
       all and Singular the aforesaid Tract of Land Called Welshe's Cradle
       with the Premisses and appurtenances thereto belonging unto him
       the said John Worthington his Heirs and Assigns for ever to the only
       proper use and behoof of him the said John Worthington his heirs &
       Assigns and to no other use intent or purpose whatsoever And the
       said William Worthington for himself his Heirs Exors and Adm.rs
       Covenants and agrees to and with the said John Worthington his heirs
       and Assigns that he the afors.d William Worthington Jun.r his Heirs
       Executors and Admors the aforesaid Tract of Land Called Welshe's
       Cradle with all and singular its appurtenances unto him the said
       John Worthington his Heirs and Assigns against him the said William
       Worthington Jun.r his heirs Exors and Admors and all other persons
       or Person whatsoever shall and will Warrant and for ever Defend
       by these Psents Provided always and it is the true intent and
       meaning of these Psents that if the said William Worthington Jun.r
       Shall well and truly pay or Cause, to be paid unto the said John
       Worthington his Heirs Exors or Admors the abovementioned sum
       of four hundred pounds sterling money of Great Brittain with legal
       Interest for the same from the date hereof at or upon the Twenty third
       day of July which shall be in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred
