       of Almighty God before me one of his Lordship's Justices
       of the Provincial Court that he the Deponant was Psent at the Execution of the
       within Instrument and did see and hear the within named Christopher Grindall
       (and who appears to have signed the same) seal and deliver the same as his
       Act and Deed for the uses within mentioned and did also see the within named
       John Howard and Joseph Cowman Present at the said Execution and did
       also see them respectively sign their respective names as within thereto
       as Witnesses and that the said Deponants name within wrote as Witness is
       of his the said Deponant's hand writing,

Ex.d This Indenture made the 27.th day of April 1744 Between
       Elinor Gooch of Williamsburgh in the Colony of Virginia Widow of the one
       Part and George Plater of Saint Marys County in the Province of Maryland
       Esquire of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Elinor Gooch for and in
       Consideration of the Sum of three hundred Pounds Sterling to her in hand
       paid by the said George Plater the Receipt whereof the said Elinor doth
       hereby acknowledge She the Elinor Gooch Hath Granted Bargained Sold
       Aliened Released and Confirmed any by these Presents doth Grant Bargain
       Sell Alien Release and Confirm unto the said George Plater his Heirs and
       Assigns for ever All that Tract of Land Plantation and Houses commonly
       called or known by the name of Belchers Neck of half Pone in Resurrection
       Mannor in Saint Marys County and all my Right Title and Interest
       of in and to one other Tract of Land in the said Mannor called or known
       by the Name of Scotch Neck which were devised by my late Father James
       Bowles Esq.r to me and my Heirs for ever which said last Tract is now
       in the Possession of the said George Plater And also all my Estate Right
       Title and Interest of in and to one other Tract of Land of a Tract or
       Parcell of Land called Grantham in Kent County in the said Province which
       Descended to me from my said Father James Bowles Esq.r deceased and also
       the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and
