       October 21.st 1743   Then Came Thomas Brooke jun.r before me ^the^ subscriber
       one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged
       the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the part of the Tract of
       Land called Brookefield within mentioned to be the Right of James
       Russell and James Wardrop their heirs and Assigns according to the
       True intent and meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly
       in such Cases made and Provided

       This Indenture made the fifteenth Day of July in the Year
       of our Lord seventeen hundred and forty three between
       Comfort Dorsey of Baltimore County Widow of the one part
       and Vincent Dorsey of the same County Gentl of the other
       part Witnesseth that Whereas John Hammond heretofore
       of Ann Arundell County Merchant deceased by his last will
       and Testament in Writing duly Executed and Proved gave &
       Devised to the said Comfort Dorsey for and during her Natural Life
       that Tract whereon he lived lying in Ann Arundell County Called
       White Oak Spring Containing one hundred and sixty one Acres and
       after her Decease to her son the said Vincent Dorsey Party to these
       Presents and the lawfull Issue of his as by the same will Registered
       in the Comissarys may appear now the said Comfort as well
       for and in Consideration of five Shillings to her in hand paid by the said
       Vincent Dorsey the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for
       the perfecting some Assurances to be made of the said Land with
       the appurtenances by way of Common recovery Hath Granted
       and Surrendered and by these Presents Doth freely fully and Absolutely
       Grant and Surrender unto the said Vincent Dorsey and his
       all the said Tract of Land together with all buildings improvements
